• There’s a saying that directors like their sets to be either really fearful, where everyone is afraid they’re gonna lose their job, and things get done, or relaxed and beautiful like it’s a party.

• The last time I was ever on stage as a stand up comedian, other comedians in my set were heckling me. And I didn’t even think that other comedians would heckle you, and they did. The thing that got me signed with my original and first manager was how I handled those hecklers. That was a pretty crazy, crazy night. But then I got a manager, so everything turned out alright.

• Somebody once said to me, Just believe what you’re saying. And that was kind of simple, because you really feel it if somebody doesn’t, if they’re not connected. They don’t believe what they’re saying.

And my spiritual path, by far, is my most important thing in my life. So, in a way, I’m not affected by things that could be disappointing as much as maybe somebody else is, because I really believe that everything is as it should be.

• Back in my modeling days, I would spend my summers in Chicago when I first began, and it was great to be back there in the summertime. And that city comes to life in the summer, because they have such brutal winters, that all of a sudden every cafe and every restaurant has outside seating. Boy, that town can drink and eat and eat. They love their meat.
